Cape May, New Jersey

September 15, 2020
Coming out of New York harbor into the Atlantic, we were nose to wind and the big rollers were a bit intimidating, but as soon as we turned the corner, we rolled out the sails, and were able to all the way down the New Jersey coast to the Cape May channel.  We anchored in front of the Coast Guard station.  There was a bit of drilling and then some kind of graduation ceremony that sounded very cheerful one night.

Biking around the town was great.  We enjoyed the flat roads, and quaint houses.  Everyone was super friendly.   Jeff picked up fresh fish and the world’s best lobster bisque from the Lobster House.  I became very concerned that I wouldn’t be able to have it again until next season!
